Homerun Education, Inc. is a local private tutoring business run by Gabby and Mike Bernier. Mike and Gabby are a husband and wife team of special educators. The Berniers and their growing team of teachers work with students in grades kindergarten through high school at their Hanover office located at 20 East Street. Gabby holds a master’s degree and license in special education. She started her career as a lead classroom teacher for students on the autism spectrum. Gabby’s passion for helping students succeed both in and outside of the classroom led her to continue her education in the area of reading intervention.

Gabby has completed the coursework and a practicum in structured literacy (Orton-Gillingham) through a program accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. Gabby follows the Orton-Gillingham approach and customizes individual lessons to meet the needs of her students.
Mike holds a master’s degree in special education and is dual licensed in math and special education. He continues to teach at a local middle school, helping students with various disabilities access the grade level math curriculum. Mike is passionate about incorporating his students’ interests into their sessions and showing them how math can help with areas that are important to them. Prior to tutoring, he coached baseball, basketball, and cross country. Mike and Gabby’s long time love of sports is where Home Run got its name.
Their mission is to instill confidence in their students and help them develop a lifelong love for learning. Mike and Gabby take the time to get to know your child and tailor their instruction to their strengths and interests. Mike, Gabby, and their team prioritize forming a meaningful relationship with every student.
