Griffin Dairy Farm is a hidden gem located on Plymouth Street in Abington. In 2019 the Town of Abington converted this former dairy farm into public space after owning it for more than a decade. A gravel path winds through the meadow and crossed over an intermittent stream in several places. It is a great spot for a walk, run, bird watch, picnic, and bike for older kids. It is stroller friendly for more rugged strollers, and the short loop makes it walkable for most little feet. The Hanover Branch Rail Trail is also nearby on Monroe Street for longer bike rides.
Don't miss the grassy trail on the east side of the property! We have seen several Eastern Cottontail rabbits on the grassy path, and my 8 year old thinks it is the perfect place to practice cartwheels. There is a second parking lot on Pattinson Street, but it hasn't been open during our last few visits.

There are a few picnic tables near the parking lot and several benches throughout the meadow. My kids love checking out the giant community garden through the fence on the south end of the property. We make it a game to see what we can identify and use it for ideas on what we want to try to grow at home. Don't forget to bring a few books to swap in the Little Free Library too!
