Family-Friendly Element Boston Seaport is Perfect for City Adventures

By Laurie Corbett June 8, 2017

Every day for a week my middle daughter asked if it was the day we were going to the hotel. The travel and exploration bug has bitten her and I love it! This past weekend we had the opportunity to travel and explore close to home thanks to the newly opened Element Boston Seaport Hotel. If you haven't been to the Seaport recently it is alive with activity and growth and was the perfect home base for our Boston adventure. As an extended stay hotel, Element Boston Seaport feels like home too which was perfect since they kids felt special but had a lot of the comforts of home, including a full kitchen in every room which is perfect for families. In addition to a full kitchen in your room, there is a common patio area available on the first floor for grilling! They also offer a complimentary breakfast every morning with healthy options like fresh fruit, oatmeal, smoothies, granola, and this mama's fuel - coffee. Plus, there is a self-serve pantry available 24-hours a day for those last-minute snacks every family needs. These family-friendly options make staying on a budget, and accommodating kids diets, so much easier than trying to eat out every meal.

Our corner executive suite was the perfect size for a home base too. From a living room area, that was perfect for playing board games available at the front desk, to the huge master bedroom overlooking The Lawn on D it was so much more spacious than being crammed into a small hotel room. I could have lounged in the Heavenly® Bed all day! It truly was heavenly, and the rainfall showerhead in the spa-inspired bathroom was the perfect way to wind down after a busy day of adventuring. I also love that the hotel was built green from the ground up and it shows in things like a master switch in the room which shuts off everything in your room except the refrigerator, alarm clock, and bedside lamps.

And no family-friendly hotel is complete without a pool! It is the amenity by which our kids, and most kids, judge a hotel. The pool at Element Boston Seaport is modern, clean and relaxing for mom and dad and perfect for splashing and having a little fun for the kids. Plus, it's a saline pool and that's just cool.

The Element Boston Seaport is located on D Street, in the Seaport District, right next to the Boston Convention Center. It was a perfect place to be a little removed from the crazy city noises of Downtown Boston but just a fifteen-minute walk to the Boston Fire Museum, and a twenty-minute walk to the Boston Children's Museum. From the museums, it is easy to walk to the Rose Kennedy Greenway and we really enjoyed exploring the Greenway, checking out the artisans market, and catching a ride on the Greenway Carousel after we were done exploring the museums.
