Notes regarding time
Music starts at 5:30 pm, fun activities follow the performanceDescription
Enter the world of Maestro Mouse and his symphonic friends as South Shore Conservatory's Evenings Under the Stars concert series presents Wild Symphony, an interactive children's story by author Dan Brown. From the playful "Bouncing Kangaroo" to the majestic "Ponderous Pachyderm," each movement of the symphony introduces children and adults to a delightful menagerie of musical animals. Each family can follow along and take home their own copy of Wild Symphony to read and enjoy long after the music ends. Narrated by former SSC preschool teacher Margaret Curtis, this production is performed by SSC faculty artists, in partnership with members of the Commonwealth Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Eric Laprade. This performance marks the Massachusetts premiere of the wind ensemble version of Wild Symphony. After the performance, families are invited to enjoy an instrumental petting zoo, creative craft stations, face painting and balloon fun, and sweet treats from Smile by the Mile ice cream truck!
