On July 29, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy partnered with the Brookline Community Foundation to expand and amplify park equity access for all on the first-ever Brookline Community Parkfest, made possible by Verizon. Join us for a fun-filled day outdoors featuring live performances: -11AM: Through Me to You Puppetry -11:45AM: Triveni Dance -12:30PM: Brookline Symphony Orchestra -1PM: Boston Bhangra -2PM: Boston Rhythm Riders Food & drink by Kush by Saba, Zaaki and Culture Pop; A guided tree walk of Olmsted Park; Tabling & resources from over 15 community organizations including Brookline Arts Center, Heart of a Giant Foundation, Brookline Interactive Group, FriendshipWorks, Brookline Community Development Corporation, MAB Community Services, Coolidge Corner Community Chorus, Gateway Arts/Vinfen, Brookline Symphony Orchestra, Women Thriving, Inc., Mothers Out Front, Brookline Equity Coalition, Springwell, The Tactical Reintegration Project, Steps to Success, Inc., Brookline Housing Authority, and Voices Boston; Plus, lawn games, family activities, educational resources & more! This family friendly and accessible event is free and open to all. This first-of-its-kind event will foster learning, connection and celebration in one of Brookline’s most beloved greenspaces as we work to increase park equity across the Emerald Necklace and the Town of Brookline. The Brookline Community Foundation is a public charity dedicated to advancing opportunity and promoting equity through the transformative power of giving. By leveraging core strengths in building philanthropic partnerships, supporting nonprofits and community efforts through grantmaking, and driving the research that informs a shared community agenda, the organization is helping build a better Brookline for all who live, learn, work, and play in the community.
