Rockland Recreation is thrilled to announce Terror on the Trails will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Hartsuff Park, 146 Hingham Street. Come if you dare! Event organizers will offer two levels of fright. The younger crowd will enjoy a daylight walk in the woods with Halloween decor and family-friendly spooky scenes along the trail from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This portion of the event is for children 12 years old and younger or for those who easily scare. The evening walk takes a dark turn from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as Hartsuff Park becomes Hauntsuff Park for a ghoulish night where the haunted and lost come to dwell among the trails. A Hauntsuff Park Ranger will guide thrill-seekers through the trails explaining how each tortured soul ended up living in the haunted woods. This terrifying haunted tour with creatures lurking in the woods, special lighting effects, spine-tingling sounds, and encounters with grisly nightcrawlers will leave you wanting more. Food vendors, Porcaro’s Hulltastic Popcorn and Flashback Franks, will be selling concessions during the evening. A Terror on the Trail tour is $5.00 per person. Tickets are sold at the entrance or through a Fast Pass system when you register online at www.rocklandrec.org. Children ages 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. You must register everyone in your party.
