Light Up the Holidays!

Description

Expedition Energy! Join us for this 3-part series to learn all about the different types of energy that we interact with everyday. Sign up for one session or come to 2 or 3! Each session costs $75 per participant and runs from 10-12 at Graybill Literacy and Learning Studio. Saturday, December 4: Week 1: Rocket Power! Explore potential energy and kinetic energy through a series of rocket powered experiments! Participants will create and build different types of rockets, and discover the energy that propels them! Saturday December 11: Week 2: Terrific Terrariums! Discover the difference between renewable energy and nonrenewable energy. Participants will design and build a terrarium and go on a mining expedition to develop an understanding of the positive and negative impact that humans have on the environment. Saturday, December 18: Week 3: Light Up The Holidays! Explore ways to use energy to create holiday themed gifts and decorations. Participants will create holiday projects using LED lights, copper tape, and electricity to brighten the season.
