JSMS is offering several Summer Music Camps for ages ranging from 6-18!
Junior Virtuosos: Junior Virtuosos is the premier camp for your child to get a great introduction to all things music! Camp is designed to get children making music with others all while learning about the foundations of music. Students will learn how to sing and use their voices in a healthy way, acquire basic piano skills, get introduced to reading music notation, and so much more! Junior Virtuosos is a great way for younger students to creatively explore music, while older students can take on leadership opportunities and learn something new along the way. Junior Virtuosos concludes with an exciting short performance for friends and family on the final day of camp!
Ages 6-9
June 24th – June 27th, 9am-11am
Future Rockstars: If you have a young child at home who keeps tapping on the table, clapping along to music, or banging on the pots and pans, then Future Rock Stars is for them! Come kick off summer by spending a week at JSMS as your aspiring young drummer learns the basics of rhythm, movement, reading music notation and most of all, drumming! Your new drummer will spend time keeping a beat to different types of songs, and playing music both individually and with a group. Each session will culminate with an exciting short performance for friends and family on the last day of camp.

Rhythm Workshop:
Join fellow percussionists for a week of music-making! Rhythm Workshop is a jam-packed week of all things percussion that will include various masterclasses, playing many different instruments in the percussion family, both solo and ensemble playing, and much more. The week will end with an exciting percussion ensemble performance! Rhythm Workshop can help students improve and hone their skills while experiencing something new and fun. All students should bring a pair of drumsticks, a practice pad, a folder for music, water and a snack.
