Tips & Tricks for the Scituate St. Patrick's Day Parade

rain, rain, stay away!

With nearly 50% of Scituate residents of Irish decent, St. Patrick’s Day festivities are a local favorite. This doesn't include all of the other people of all descents that come from all over to attend. They don't call us the Irish Riviera for no reason! Here are some tips and tricks for attending, especially with kiddos!

1. Pack bags for your kiddos! Lots of goodies and candy are handed out from various floats and businesses throughout the parade. Having a bag to collect everything will make your life easier and make the kids excited!

2. Parking: We always park at Widow's Walk Golf Course where they have buses shuttle people back and forth to Front Street. Scituate High School does this as well. This, of course, is tricky if you have/need a stroller. If you need a stroller, I highly recommend getting to Front Street early for parking because they stop all parking at 10am.

3. Bring snacks and water. Standing around waiting for the parade can get exhausting for little feet. Snacks and water are always helpful!

Hope to see you there! ☘️
