We are excited to share that our vision of many years-South Shore Montessori School-is coming to fruition! SSMS is a small, community school opening September 2024 in downtown Cohasset across from the common. We are currently enrolling students and have few spots remaining in our inaugural classroom! SSMS will be located in the educational wing of the Second Congregational Church. The classroom is designed to support learners ages 2.9-6 with a full complement of Montessori materials and is filled with windows and lots of wonderful, natural light that will be an optimal learning environment for children.

Alycia and Heather are both EEC Director II licensed, AMS 3-6 credentialed and have a combined 25+ years of teaching experience in early education. We are passionate advocates of the Montessori method which brings together opportunities to learn with concrete, didactic hands-on materials and the belief that children are capable of co-constructing their own learning. We hope to create a legacy of authentic and joyful Montessori right in the heart of Cohasset center. Mark your calendars-Our next Open House is May 11th!
Our Open House which will be held outdoors on our future playground. We will have a petting zoo with small, baby farm animals and a chance to see our future classroom. We would love to have you join us! The fun begins at 10 and will end at 12. Make a day out of it and pack a lunch to sit on the common for a picnic directly across from the school!
