5 Things to Do this Week on the South Shore (11/4-11/6)

There's lots of fun happening on the South Shore this week!

By Christina Skeldon November 2, 2022

In the blink of an eye, we say goodbye to all things Halloween and say hello to November and all things Christmas. Poor Thanksgiving always gets lost in the shuffle! Every weekend you will start seeing more and more events with holiday shopping! Don't forget to support local and support small businesses this holiday season! Here's your top 5 this week:

1. She Makes Waves Launch Party, Friday

I may be bias, but this is the only event you need to attend this weekend! Come try the Untold x The Collective Co. x Mac Kid collab beer! Family friendly as always and a portion of the proceeds will go to "She's the First" -the global non-profit organization that teams up with grassroots organizations to make sure girls everywhere are educated, respected, and heard.

2.Open Barnyard at Weir River Farm, Saturday

Come experience all that Weir River Farm has to offer! In the barnyard, meet ponies, llamas, and a potbellied pig. Have a chance to interact with our goats, sheep, and chickens! See if you can find their herd of black and white Belted Galloway cattle in their pastures. Then, consider exploring the woodland trails, and check out our farm store at the studio on top of the hill.

3. Little Learners Preschool Group Open House, Saturday

This is a great opportunity to check out Sargent Child & Family Services and their Little Learners Preschool classroom. Create some fun, fall crafts and experience all that this great classroom has to offer!

4. Frozen Tea Party, Saturday and Sunday

Join The Company Theatre for Beverages and treats. Meet Elsa and Anna and get your picture taken with them in our special photo booth. Prizes for best costumes, so be sure to dress up as one of your favorite characters from Frozen.

5. Pop-Up Shop of Local Women-Owned Businesses, Sunday

Celebrate the impressive local and women-owned businesses within our community (just in time for some early holiday shopping)! Drinks, refreshments, raffles, music! Free and open to the public!

Have a great weekend, friends!
