It's Time For Me To Say Goodbye

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher, Macaroni Kid South Shore Boston January 28, 2021

Wow, this is one of the most challenging publisher's note I have ever had to write. Eight years ago this month, I embarked on my Macaroni Kid journey. At the time, I had a 2-year-old and a 9-month-old and had been home with them for almost a year. I felt a strong urge to use my skills and talents to benefit people outside of my home and noticed a friend in New Hampshire was involved in something called Macaroni Kid. I inquired about bringing it to the South Shore, and I had no idea it would take me to where I am today.

Over the past eight years, I have published 416 hyper-local e-newsletters and watched Macaroni Kid grow locally and nationally in remarkable ways. It has been my privilege to be this edition's steward for the past eight years, and doing so has prepared me for new challenges and chapters in my life. My kids are now ten, eight, and six, and we are all so grateful for the people and experiences Macaroni Kid has brought into our lives. I can't wait to watch this edition grow and flourish under a new local publisher. I want to thank you for coming on this journey with me. I know you will continue to journey with Macaroni Kid South Shore Boston and the new publisher.

With Love,
