A Note From Your Publisher When There Are No Words {3/19}

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher, Macaroni Kid South Shore Boston March 19, 2020

I don't know where to start. The last time I wrote a publisher's note just a week ago seems like a such a different world. School is canceled for at least the next two and half weeks, businesses have closed down, friends have lots jobs, and our lifeblood at Macaroni Kid - family friendly events and activities - have ceased to exist. But what I do know is this ... we will get through this as a community because that is what we do best. Local businesses and organizations are stepping up to take their programming virtual to help normalize things for kids including our wonderful sponsors at My Gym, local businesses are stepping up to create take home versions of their programming, restaurants are going out of their way to provide safe options for take out, and local libraries are serving their communities with a variety of online resources. What am I doing here at Macaroni Kid? What I have always done. I am working as hard as I can to help you Find Your Family Fun® ... at home. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing ideas for fun activities, projects, games, and other local resources with you. Please remember that I am a small local business too, and your readership means more now than ever. Thank you for being here with me and I will do my best to support you, and our local small businesses during this difficult time.

Peace, Love and Macaroni,
