On Wednesday, my son and I had a fun Boston guy’s night out to see The Spongebob Musical performing now through October 28th at the Boch Center's Wang Theatre. When I was first asked if we wanted to go see the show I was surprised that there even was a musical based on SpongeBob SquarePants. It sounded like fun and I am always game for an adventure. So, the little guy and I headed into the city for one of the best nights out we’ve had for a while. To say the show was great is an understatement.

From the moment we took our seats we were in Bikini Bottom. The set design and music was brought us into Spongebob’s crazy undersea world. All your favorite characters were there to sing and dance while Spongebob and his friends tried to save Bikini Bottom from a volcano that was going to destroy the town. Who knew Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and the rest of the Spongebob family could sing and dance so well? My son and I agreed that Squidward (with his 4 legs) stole the show with his chorus line number. This show was top notch. A great time for the whole family and it’s a musical. If a 5 year old says it was great then it certainly must be.
