It is our goal to list all of the great, family-friendly events and activities going on across the South Shore on our calendar and not assume we know which events your family would like best, but sometimes staring at a whole day, weekend or even month of events can be a little overwhelming. While we encourage families to look use our event search system to find events that work best for them we thought we would also pull out 29 events going on this month that shouldn't be missed including one we are hosting! MK-AOK Week - An extension of Macaroni Kid’s core mission to enrich the communities in which we live. Through this very special day, we aim to inspire all Macaroni Kid Publishers to take the lead and encourage families to work together to do good and spread joy through acts of kindness, both big and small.

The Land Mine MBT Classic - Join Friends of Wompatuck and Bikebarn Racing for their annual mountain bike race. There is a free kids race, category 5 race for kids in grades K - 6, full adult race and more.

Endless Summer - The Best Late Summer Beach Party in New England! The Hull Nantasket Chamber of Commerce invites you to join the fun at the 15th annual Endless Summer Waterfront Festival at Nantasket Beach.
Marshfield Irish Day - Head to Marshfield for an Irish Music Festival.
Corn Festival - Join the South Shore Natural Science Center for their 43rd Annual Corn Festival. The Corn Festival celebrates the fall harvest with hay rides, craft and animal demos, live music and more.
Grandparents Luncheon: Princesses and Super Hero! - Please join Starlight Events Enchanted Rose Princess, Cinderella, and one of their superhero friends for a charity Grandparents’ Luncheon to support Treasures of our Hearts! Tickets include lunch, photos, and a craft! Come support a great cause and meet your grandchild’s heroes!
Free Safari Matinee - Introduction to Raptors - Explore the many corners of North River Wildlife Sanctuary with a Teacher Naturalist on Saturday afternoons this fall for FREE! Activities may include walks, demos, and/or skill-building. If the weather is inclement, an alternative program will be offered indoors.
Annie Sing-Along - Join The Company Theatre to sing along with America’s favorite orphan. Dressing up as your favorite character is encouraged.
Pembroke Celebrates with Fireworks - Head to Pembroke for a fabulous fireworks display put on by the Pembroke Celebrates Committee. There will be music, food trucks, K-9 demos, moonbounce, and more.

Fly-In Breakfast - Join EAA 279 for their monthly Fly-In breakfast at Cranland Airport. See a variety of aircraft up close and enjoy breakfast!
Jeff Coombs Road Race, Walk and Family Day- Run, walk and play to support the Jeff Coombs Memorial Foundation. There will be a 5K, kids' run, music, games and more. Note - 2021 will be the final year of this event.

Fall Farm Festival- Join Weir River Farm for their annual fall farm festival! There will be animals, a tractor to climb on, paint your own pumpkin (1 per child until supply runs out), learn how to press apple cider, Clydesdale wagon rides, old-fashioned games, crafts, face-painting, farm tattoos, live music and food trucks.
Mann House and Garden Family Farm Day- Join the Scituate Historical Society and the Scituate Garden Club for Mann House and Barn tours, a wildflower garden tour, balloon animals, hayrides, live music, Vinny the Bubble Man, baby animals, goat milking demos, antique cars and tractors and more.

End of Summer Victorian Tea - Join the Daniel Webster Estate their annual summer tea with scones, seasonal breads, savories and sweets along with a tour of the historic mansion.

Touch-a-Truck - Join Hingham Nursery School for a touch-a-truck! There will be trucks to explore, train rides, and more.
Oktoberfest - Join the Lutheran Church in Hingham for their 34th annual Oktoberfest! There will be German food and beverages, music, face painting, spin art, and other activities.
Kids Fall Fest- A fall festival with kids activities: DIY T-shirt making, rock painting and bracelet making. There will also be several great local artisans to shop with!
