Sign Up for Summer Fun with the RYC!

There's something for everyone at the Rockland Youth Commission and that is especially true during the summer! From their brand new Kids Gardening Club designed to educate and inspire young gardeners as they learn about horticulture through projects, plantings, and harvesting to Shamrocks Summer Baseball Program which focuses on skill development and fundamentals to their beloved Hartsuff Park program which includes activities such as wiffleball, volleyball, basketball, flag/touch football, street hockey, art & crafts, board games, field games, storytelling, music, special guests and swimming along with a version of this program just for three to five years old referred to as the Chipmunks there are so many great, unique programs available this summer. 

Both residents and non-residents are welcome at all Rockland Youth Commission programs!

Hartsuff Park Full Day Program - Activities planned include softball, wiffleball, volleyball, basketball, flag/touch football, street hockey, art & crafts, board games, field games, storytelling, music, special guests and swimming.

Hartsuff Park Chipmunk Program - This very popular half-day"Chipmunk" program is geared towards children 3, 4 & 5-year-olds going into Kindergarten. The activities planned will provide directives in the areas of physical play, arts & crafts, and swimming.

Rockland Teen Adventure - Teens will participate in a variety of activities including, but not limited to swimming, kickball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, arts & crafts, board games, group games, and archery. The teens will go on two field trips per week.

Kids Gardening Club - The Kids Gardening Club is designed to educate, as well as bring delight in gardening and horticulture with projects, plantings, and harvesting.  We have raised beds located at Hartsuff Park and will meet at the park once a week for a lesson and to tend to the gardens.  In addition, your child will be required to visit the gardens once a week to either water weed or report back any differences they see with the garden.  We are hoping to have a guest speaker come one of the days to talk about the importance of bee's in gardening.  

Challenger Sports Soccer Program - Challenger Sports presents British Soccer Program! Young players will be provided with a wide variety of individual and small group practices which will help them develop the fundamental technical aspects of the game.

NFL Flag Football - The Rockland Youth Commission is teaming up with USA Football & NFL Flag Football to bring an All New Flag Football League to boys and girls grades 1-8.

Shamrocks Summer Baseball Program - Shamrocks Baseball, in conjunction with the Youth Commission, will be running baseball programs this summer for boys and girls ages 7-13.  The program will focus on skill development and fundamentals.  There will also be simulated games each day.
