The Academy of The Company Theatre (ACT) presents Disney’s The Lion King JR. from April 21 through 30 at The Company Theatre Center for Performing Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. Disney’s The Lion King JR.’s music and lyrics by Tim Rice and Elton John, with additional music and lyrics by Will Van Dyke, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin, book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, based on the Broadway production directed by Julie Taymor.
Celebrate the “Circle of Life”, when this inspiring coming of age story arrives on stage! Disney’s The Lion King JR. has captured the hearts and imagination of audiences around the world. The story of Simba and his journey through the dangers of the African savannah is told through the vibrant music by Elton John. Energetic choreography, detailed costumes and animal masks, and a cast of unforgettable characters. This Lion King youth production promises to be an epic event!
ACT was founded in 1987 by Zoe Bradford, Michael Joseph and Jordie Saucerman, with a mission to discover the creative spirit in each child in an enjoyable and challenging atmosphere and to build self-confidence through the experience of the arts.
Tickets for Disney’s The Lion King JR. are $15. Evening and matinee performances are available.
