By Laurie Corbett, Publisher Mom, South Shore Boston and Hike it Baby South Shore November 3, 2016
Fall is a great time to get out and get moving with your family! Our friends at Hike it Baby South Shore have shared some of their favorite spots in Pembroke with us for this month's South Shore Hiking Spotlight. We hope it helps your family find somewhere new to explore or reminds you of an old favorite!

Wildlands Trust - Willow Brook Farm Preserve
99 Barker Street, Pembroke, MA 02359

Willow Brook Farm is one of Hike it Baby South Shore's favorite places to hike. It consists of mainly flat wide trials with a tower for bird watching, and connects to Misty Meadow Conservation area. At
Willow Brook Farm Preserve you can do a short hike or spend all day. Learn more and find a trail map at wildlandstrust.org/willow-brook-farm.

Wildlands Trust - Canoe Club Preserve
75 Washington Street, Pembroke, MA 02359

After a short stretch of rocky ground Canoe Club Preserve is a short 1/2 mile loop along a boardwalk through wetlands. It is a hidden path tucked behind Orta Restaurant and Instinctive Parent, and the boardwalk makes it fun for kids of all ages. Learn more and find a trail map at wildlandstrust.org/canoe-club-preserve.

Tubbs Meadow Trail
Mill Street, Pembroke, MA 02359

Tubbs Meadow is a great flat dirt road around a neglected cranberry bog. The loop is great for little legs but be careful because there is open water which could pose a hazard to curious wanderers. For more information and a trail map visit www.pembroke-ma.gov/discover-pembroke/pages/maps-pembroke-hiking-trails.

Wildlands Trust - The Tucker Preserve
West Elm Street, Pembroke, MA 02359

This is a great hike along the Indian Head River. It offers beautiful views of the river and can also be accessed by canoe. The hiking here is a little more difficult and better for older children. These trails connect to Rocky Run Conservation area in Hanson which can make for a full day of hiking.
