30 Second Peanut Butter Marshmallow Dough

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher Mom, South Shore Boston February 13, 2014
We need something new to do this, and both of my girls love all kinds of play dough, foam and goop. I found an edible play dough online and decided to try it out. My youngest still likes to taste test play dough by the end of our play session so the fact that this recipe is totally edible, and actually tastes good was a plus!

What You'll Need:

30 mini marshmallows
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 1/2 - 3 tsp confectioner's sugar

Microwave
Microwave safe bowl
Rubber spatula, or wooden spoon.

What You'll Do:

1) Count out 30 mini marshmallows into the microwave safe bowl.

2) Add 2 Tbsp peanut butter.

3) Microwave on high for 10 seconds.

4) Stir with spatula or spoon until mostly combined.

5) Add enough confectioner's sugar until it is no longer sticky. We made two batches and one took 1 1/2 tsp and one too 3 tsp so start with the lower amount and increase it until you reach the desired consistency.

6) Play! Both girls had a blast playing with the dough. It was super easy to make, and smelled great. And of course my toddler had eaten her entire batch by the time we were done playing!

Note - we have not tried this recipe with other types of nut butter, or sunflower butter. If you try it out let us know how it comes out!
