Not going away this April Vacation week? No problem. We rounded up plenty of options to keep the kiddos busy all week long! The Macaroni Kid event calendar has lots going on but here is a highlight of some of our top picks!
1. April Vacation Camp with South Shore Select, Hingham
Take your soccer to the next level! Join professional soccer coaches at our soccer camps! Perfect for beginners to more advanced players, our soccer camps offer skill development, drills, game play, crazy dress days, and tons of fun for soccer players ages 4-14. Held Monday, April 17- Thursday, April 20 from 9am-12pm at South Shore Sports Center in Hingham.
2. Wolves Den April Vacation Basketball Clinic, Pembroke
This clinic will focus on teaching the fundamentals/rules of the game with a focus on dribbling, passing, shot form, & defense basics. Players can use 8' and/or 10' hoop. Clinic will also give kids opportunity to spend 1 hour in our inflatables. February 21-23.
3. April Vacation Week at Holly Hill Farm, Cohasset
Spring is full of energy and life on the farm! Holly Hill has a fun week of programming ahead for children ages 3-14. Get outdoors, get creative, explore a little, learn, and make new friends.
4. Marshfield Boys & Girls Club, Marshfield
Join the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club for a fun filled week. Sign up for 1,2,3,4 or all 5 days! Grades K-8 are welcome. Pack a water bottle/bring snow clothes. Lunch is included!
5. April Vacation Week at North River Wildlife Sanctuary, Marshfield
Join the adventure and explore North River in spring with our school vacation week program for children ages 7 - 11.
Discover how April showers bring May flowers, explore our habitats, look for frogs and salamanders, see which birds are migrating back from the long winter, and get outside for an adventure. Each day includes outdoor activities, experiments, and crafts! With an emphasis on safety, fun, and teamwork we create memorable moments that last a lifetime.
1. April Vacation Week at Derby Street!, Hingham
Join Derby Street during April Vacation Week for activities Monday-Friday! Registration is required. Ticket donations will go directly to The Arc of the South Shore, a Hingham-based nonprofit supporting local families and individuals of all ages with disabilities through high-quality individualized services and opportunities that foster independence, community inclusion, and advocacy. Tuesday: Brunch with Chase & Skye at Untold Brewing/Music Together with South Shore Conservatory
Wednesday: Step into Spring: Crafts and Customization at Allbirds

2. Spring Egg-stravaganza at Dalby Farm, Scituate
These 30 minute animal visits include a 15 minute SPRING EGG HUNT! After the animal visit, children will have fun locating and gathering the plastic eggs, with candy and/or a ‘baby chick’ inside, that have been distributed in a designated area of the farm. A perfect ending! These visits also include a $10 credit to our Country Store! Before leaving, swing in and find something special for the Moms in your life! We have many unique gift ideas that are sure to make Mother’s Day ‘eggstra’ special! All purchases support our mission and benefit the animals living at the farm.
3. Kids World at South Shore Sports Center, Hingham
Kids World is an open indoor play area where kids ages 1-6 can jump, play, build, and explore to their hearts’ content. They’ll love jumping in a bounce house, taking a ride on a kid coaster, or playing their way through the designated toy and game area. But it’s not just fun and games – Kids World helps develop motor coordination, fosters relationships and social skills with other players, and encourages imaginative play. The best part? Your kids won’t even know they’re learning – they’re just having fun!

4. Family Fun at Weir River Farm, Hingham
Weir River Farm is a magical place all year round but especially now when Spring has sprung. They have amazing events happening all week including Barnyard Story Hour, Farm Explorers and more. Make sure to pre-register as spaces fill up quick.
5. The SpongeBob Musical, Norwell
Starting on April 21st, an unexpected hero takes center stage just as Bikini Bottom is facing total annihilation! Join SpongeBob and Friends as this delightful Broadway musical shines with the power of optimism.
