April Vacation Week Camps & Activities Guide

Not going away this April Vacation week? No problem. We rounded up plenty of options to keep the kiddos busy all week long! The Macaroni Kid event calendar has lots going on but here is a highlight of some of our top picks!



1. April Vacation Camp with South Shore Select, Hingham

Take your soccer to the next level! Join our professional soccer coaches at our soccer camps! Perfect for beginners to more advanced players, our soccer camps offer skill development, drills, game play, crazy dress days, and tons of fun for soccer players ages 4-14. Your kids won’t want to miss this!

2. April Vacation Rec Camp at Starland, Hanover

The weather is warming up, the Fun Park is open, and April Rec is BACK! Come join the Starland Team for some variety and plenty of seasonal fun. Activities include a variety of sports including Soccer, Basketball, Dodgeball, and Kickball as well as Starland Classics such as Go-Karts, the Drop Tower, Rock Wall, LaserTag, inflatables, XD Dark Ride, and more! Lunch is included.

3. Jump Start Clinics at Goldfish Swim School, Rockland

Jump Start Clinics include four consecutive days of 30-minute swim lessons that focus on everything from teaching the fundamentals of water safety to fine-tuning stroke technique. These clinics are so effective, we guarantee you’ll see significant improvement in your child’s swimming skills in just four short days!

4. April Vacation Week at City Arena, Pembroke

City Arena will be hosting an activity week this upcoming April school vacation. There will be options for everyone (See below)! Register today for the whole week and/or our daily drop-in option. Choose from the following: soccer camp, multi-sport or arts and crafts. 

5. April Vacation Week at Holly Hill Farm, Cohasset

Everything is coming to life on the Farm and surrounding natural spaces! So many options to choose from including Adventurers in Spring, Farm Animals, Gardening, Magical Creatures and more!

6. February Vacation Camp with Marshfield Boys & Girls Club, Marshfield

Join the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club for a fun filled week. Sign up for 1,2,3,4 or all 5 days! Grades K-8 are welcome. Pack a water bottle/bring snow clothes. Lunch is included!



1. April Vacation Week at Derby Street!, Hingham

Join Derby Street during April Vacation Week for activities Monday-Friday! Registration is required. Derby Street is kindly asking you to consider making a $5 donation for your ticket in support of Autism Awareness Month this April. 100% of your ticket donation will go directly to The Arc of the South Shore, a Hingham-based nonprofit supporting local families and individuals of all ages with disabilities through high-quality individualized services and opportunities that foster independence, community inclusion, and advocacy. Monday: Story Hour with Hanover Unity Council

Tuesday: Bike safety checks and quick fixes with REI

Wednesday: Interactive Storytime with Red Sox Mascot Wally The Green Monster

Thursday: Music with Mama Steph

2. Spring Egg-stravaganza at Dalby Farm, Scituate

These 30 minute animal visits include a 15 minute SPRING EGG HUNT! After the animal visit, children will have fun locating and gathering the plastic eggs, with candy and/or a ‘baby chick’ inside, that have been distributed in a designated area of the farm.  A perfect ending! These visits also include a $10 credit to our Country Store! Before leaving, swing in and find something special for the Moms in your life! We have many unique gift ideas that are sure to make Mother’s Day ‘eggstra’ special! All purchases support our mission and benefit the animals living at the farm.


3. Kids World at South Shore Sports Center, Hingham 

Kids World is an open indoor play area where kids ages 1-6 can jump, play, build, and explore to their hearts’ content. They’ll love jumping in a bounce house, taking a ride on a kid coaster, or playing their way through the designated toy and game area. But it’s not just fun and games – Kids World helps develop motor coordination, fosters relationships and social skills with other players, and encourages imaginative play. The best part? Your kids won’t even know they’re learning – they’re just having fun!

4. Blue Man Group, Boston

Blue Man Group Boston will be back for April Vacation week with their unique brand of zany creativity. Starting on April 14th and running through April Vacation week, most days offer a 4:30 and 7:30 show with weekends having more times. This is always a huge hit for the kiddos and a great reason to get into Boston!


5. Family Fun at Weir River Farm, Hingham

Weir River Farm is a magical place all year round but especially now when Spring has sprung. They have amazing events happening all week including Family Music, Barnyard Story Hour, Farm Explorers and more. Make sure to pre-register as spaces fill up quick. 


6. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatNorwell

Starting on April 21st, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s high-octane musical, featuring dazzling costumes, eye-popping sets, athletic choreography, and an unforgettable score. This is the BEST show for the whole family and a great way to close our April Vacation week!


7. Outdoor Story Walk, Norwell

Head to the Norwell Public Library for their first ever Story Walk! Walk along and read the story page by page of "How the Rabbit Lost Its Tail" by Len Cabral, a local author and storyteller, illustrated by Kate DeCarvalho. Storywalk is located on the library grounds past the staff parking lot & shed.


8. Spring Green Festival, Hingham

On Saturday, April 23rd, grab your friends and family and head to Weir River Farm for their Spring Green Festival! Visit with farm animals, climb aboard a tractor, and make an Earth Day craft! Don’t forget to play some fun festival games, get a farm tattoo, and grab lunch from one of the food trucks!
Grownups will enjoy trying out the beer from a few local breweries, listening in on pop-up farm demonstrations, and relaxing to a full day of live music.
