5 Things to Do this Week on the South Shore (10/28-31)

There's lots of Halloween fun happening on the South Shore this week!

By Christina Skeldon October 26, 2022

And just like that, it's Halloween weekend. I am looking forward to it as much as I am looking forward to saying goodbye to all of this rain! The event calendar has never been more full so be sure to check it out asap but here are your top 5 picks!

1. Monster Tea Party with DHRS, Friday

Join Duxbury Historic and Rural Society for a special outdoor Monster Tea Party Storytime at Nathaniel Winsor House. Ice cream and cookies served! Recommended age 2 and up but all are welcome. No registration needed.

2. Trunk or Treat @ the Y!, Saturday

Pack up your goblins and ghouls in their costumes, decorate your trunk, and come park in our Y lot for some Trunk or Treating fun for the whole family!

3. Boos & Brews, Saturday

One of my favorite events of the year! Derby Street always knocks it out of the park with their events on the green and this one is probably their best! Throw in an untold brewing beer garden and some spooky surprises and you have yourself an event that is fun for the whole family!

4. Not-So-Spooky Scavenger Hunt at Weir River Farm, Sunday

Calling all ghouls and boys! Come dressed in costume if you dare and join us for a scavenger hunt. We’ll listen to a tale of Halloween Night followed by a scavenger hunt through the Witch’s Woods in search of haunted hideaways, yummy treats and things that go bump in the night! Our festive trail will be filled with tricks and treats, sure to delight! Once we complete the trail, we will decorate our own spooktacular mini-haunted houses to take home!

5. Halloween Spooktacular @ Paragon Carousel, Sunday

Ride the carousel in costume! Costume Contest and Parade. Last day of operations - $1 rides all day! Also serving cider donuts, popcorn and hotdogs!

Have a great weekend and Happy Halloween!
