This is it, friends. The last weekend of August. I'm not crying. Wait, yes I am. I know that summer isn't technically over yet but there is something so painful about saying goodbye to August. Let's keep our fingers crossed that September treats us well! As always, head on over to the event calendar for the full line up but here are your top 5 picks for the weekend!

1. The Marshfield Fair, runs until Sunday

Yes, I know this was on last weeks 5 things but it really is so fun and deserves a spot this week as well. It is such a fun summer send off for the kids before they head back to school!

2.🍦 South Shore Cones for a Cause @ The Hingham Shipyard, Friday

South Shore Cones for a Cause ("Cones") is a charitable, ice-cream fundraiser that pays tribute to the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl held in Boston each Summer. This year Cones will be held in conjunction with Hingham Shipyard Summer Music Series event, featuring Aerosmith cover band Draw the Line. Grab a $10 ticket now which gets you a a "go-pack" of ice creams from various local and national manufacturers!

3. Plymouth Waterfront Festival, Saturday

Every August, the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce holds it's Waterfront Festival on Plymouth’s historic waterfront. Festival events include; annual duck race, live entertainment, arts & crafts show featuring over 200 exhibitors, local non-profits and the annual Motor Head’s Cruise-In Car Show and so much more.

4. Summer Sunset Concert: The Duppy Conquerors, Saturday

Celebrate the end of an epic summer with a concert at Weir River Farm featuring the Duppy Conquerors, Boston’s premier Bob Marley tribute band. This family-friendly outdoor picnic concert is presented on the lawn at Weir River Farm in Hingham. Bring your blanket and lawn chairs. Spread out a picnic or treat yourself to a meal from the Cruisin’ Cabby Shack, Thyme Traveling, or Mom-on-the-Go food trucks and ice cream from Hornstra Farm. Widowmaker Brewing will be serving up craft beer.

5. Weymouth Farmers Market - Kid's Day, Sunday

Join Weymouth Farmers Marker for their annual kid's day and expose your littles to all the local, fresh goodness the farmers market has to offer. Kid's Day events include a baby goat petting zoo, rockabye beats, face painting, scavenger hunt, food trucks and more!
