5 Things to Do this Week on the South Shore (7/20-7/24)

There's lots of fun happening on the South Shore this week!

By Christina Skeldon July 20, 2022

I know we are in the middle of a heat wave but as New Englanders, we all know it could be much, much worse. The events don't stop because the temperature is rising! In fact, the event calendar is jam packed all week long but here are your top 5 picks of the week!

1. Scituate Harbor Carnival, Tuesday-Saturday

This was my favorite carnival last year. The views from the top of the ferris wheel are breathtaking and the size of the carnival alone is very manageable with the little ones!

2. Circus Smirkus "On the Road Again", Wednesday-Saturday

In one weeks time, Levitate Festival came down and now the circus is setting up shop at Marshfield Fairgrounds. Fun for all ages and the whole family, this fun show should not be missed!

3. Sunset Picnics at Weir River Farm, Thursday

The Sunset Picnic series which is held every Thursday features local breweries and food trucks, live music, and the best view on the South Shore. Pack your picnic blanket and chairs and relax with your friends while watching the sun set over the Boston skyline.

4. Blueberry Picking at Tree-Berry Farm, every day

It is prime blueberry picking season so head to Tree-Berry farm in Scituate and grab some fresh berries. This is so fun for the kids, especially when you bring them home to bake something yummy afterwards!

5. VSB Summer Vendor Market Pop-Up, Sunday

Head to Vitamin Sea Brewing for some great beer and check out some great local small businesses and artists. Two of my favorites will be there, Farmhouse Baking Co. and Burkes Hot Sauce!

Have a great week, friends!
