5 Things to Do this Week on the South Shore (7/7-7/10)

There's lots of fun happening on the South Shore this week!

By Christina Skeldon July 7, 2022

And as the saying goes, "once the 4th of July is over, summer flies"; so let's be sure to soak up every last second and do all of the fun things! As always, the event calendar is jam packed with lots going on but here are your top 5!

1. Princess Story Time at Paragon Carousel, Friday

Princess Storytime is back at Paragon Carousel and this was such a fun one last year! This week, Ariel will be reading a story before kids get to take a ride on the carousel. It is magical for all of the kids to experience! Pro tip: pack a bathing suit (or change of clothes) and let the kids run around the beach afterwards!

2. Levitate Music and Arts Festival, Friday-Sunday

Does Levitate weekend feel like Christmas to anyone else? Perhaps it is because I live in Marshfield but the whole energy of the town during this weekend is electric! Tickets are sold out but you can access the fan ticket exchange and buy some last minute tickets if you decide the FOMO will be too much for you! Also worth noting, kids under 4 are free!

3. The Launch at Hingham Shipyard Summer Concert Series, Friday

Still in the mood for live music but don't want to head to Levitate? Enjoy some live music at the Launch at Hingham Ship yard! Playing this week is a super fun Kenny Chesney cover band, No Shoes Nation! Make sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating!

4. Rockland Farmers Market Family Fun Day, Saturday

Rockland Farmers Market is always fun for the family but when they have a Family Fun Day, it is even better! They will have a petting zoo, live music, potato sack races and a beer garden for mom & dad!

5. Cars & Coffee, Sunday

I am so excited for the first Cars and Coffee put on by Untold Brewing with Seabird Coffee. This will be fun for the whole family, especially those kiddos who love fun cars! Spectators should park at the MBTA Greenbush lot for a safe, 3 minute walk to Untold.

Have a great weekend, friends!
