A Note From Your Publisher: Being Mindful on Mother's Day

By Christina Skeldon May 4, 2022

It is not lost on me that Mother's Day does not mean flowers and breakfast in bed for many. For those of you that wish to skip over the day because it brings you sadness or pain, I see you. I do not take for granted that I am lucky enough to have two little ones that call me mom and a mom of my own who loves and supports me.

For those of you that are struggling with infertility, those of you that have lost a child, those of you that have lost your mother or your mother figure, those of you that have a difficult relationship with your mother, for the LGBTQ families where there is no one-size-fits-all approach to this day, I see you. Whatever your circumstance, whatever you're going through, I am thinking of you and I hope that you are able to have a great day with the people you love, whomever they may be.

To those of you that are lucky like me, please be mindful of the people in your life before you wish them a "Happy Mother's Day" and appreciative that this day means to us what Hallmark intended it to.

With love,

Christina
