This Sunday officially marks the first day of Summer 2021! The South Shore is more than ready for it with new events, celebrations and community happenings daily. It can be overwhelming to keep track of so many announcements so we thought we would pull out eight (8) event highlights for this week! Want more details? Movies Under the Stars at Duxbury Library!

Wednesday June 16th 8:30pm to 10:30pm

Come to the library and enjoy a Kung Fu Panda (PG) on the side lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. The movie starts at 8:30 pm. Movie's start times may adjust due to lighting. Social distancing is encouraged.

Storytellers in the Park at Hartsuff Park Grove

Thursday June 17th 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Join Rockland  Recreation Department for free summer fun each Thursday evening in June at Hartstuff Park Grove  for a free storytime from 530-630pm.  Bring a chair, picnic blanket and pack dinner if you'd like!   There will be fun, action, adventures and music! This week's feature is Big Ryan's Tall Tales with puppet play, music and movement!

Sunset Picnics at Weir River Farm

A new Thursday night music and picnic series at Weir River Farm! Starting June 17 and running every Thursday evening until October 7, the series will feature local breweries and food trucks, live music, and amazing views! Pack your picnic blanket and head over early to say hello to Ruby the llama and Nutmeg the pony. Walk the Polly Thayer Starr art installation, a half-mile trail of Exploration Stations featuring exquisite landscapes, quotes, and thought prompts. Relax with your friends while watching the sun set over the Boston skyline!

Juneteenth Celebration with the Hingham Unity Council

Grand Opening of Untold Brewing and Derby Street's "The Green" Beer Garden

Pool Opens for Season at Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield

Father's Day Car Show

Hanover Farmer's Market

The first outdoor farmer's market in Hanover, MA! This event is once a month on the third Sunday and will be on Father's Day this month! Come treat Dad to an array of fresh produce, artisan goods, and unique local vendor offerings!
