For 24 years, the annual "Opening of the Bay" has served as a ceremonial kick off to summer, as well as the fundraiser to generate the support necessary to run DBMS Outreach programs. This year, DBMS is making a big push to serve the communities that missed out last summer due to COVID-19. The programs that serve these effected communities include ACCESSAIL, Veterans Days on the Bay and Maritime Adventures.

Your kids can be a part of the celebration too! Kids are invited to submit a picture or painting of their favorite activity to do on the bay to dbms@dbms.org with the subject "DBMS Drawing Contest 2021". The winner will be announced at the end of the virtual gala and receive DBMS apparel as well as a feature on the DBMS website!
