A Note From Your Publisher and Happy Mother's Day {5/7}

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher, Macaroni Kid South Shore Boston May 7, 2020

While Mother's Day might not look like it has in years past it can still be filled with family and love. We may not be able to see extended family in person this year, but there are other ways we can connect with them through phone or video calls, emails, text messages, cards, letters, and more. My kids are making mailable hugs this year by tracing their handprints, coloring them, and connecting them with a piece of yarn, string, or ribbon the length of their arms to symbolize the hugs we wish we could give our loved ones. You can also do it on a long sheet of paper as we did way back in 2013. We also have some really cute free Mother's Day printables on the site here that can be given, mailed, or even photographed and send to the moms in your life.

My plan on Mother's Day is to order take out from my favorite breakfast spot, work in the garden, crochet, and spend quiet time with the people who made me a mom. I hope your weekend is filled with love and I hope you are well and safe.

Until next week,

Laurie C.
