MK Creates - Healthy Teeth Craft

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher Mom, South Shore Boston February 5, 2015
In honor of National Children's Dental Health Month we put together this simply activity that families can do together to talk about dental health.

Click HERE to download the tooth drawing we used, or draw your own.

What You'll Need
  • 2 large teeth shapes for each child
  • Magazines
  • Kids scissors
  • Crayons or Marker
What You'll Do

As a family talk about how certain foods and drinks are good for your teeth and other foods are not. Then have the kids go through old magazine and cut out any foods they can find. One one tooth they can glue the foods and drinks that are good for our teeth, and on the other they can glue the foods and drinks that are not good for your teeth. We also added a few drawings of some of the kids favorite foods to figure out where they stacked up.

This is a great project for kids who are visual learners and makes a fun reference for when the kids want that sugary treat.
