This past weekend my family had the honor of being guests of Edaville USA to check out their current event Pumpkins Aglow. My girls have been talking about the park since the last time they were there, and they couldn't wait to see the park at night, check out the pumpkins and get into the Halloween spirit.

We weren't coming from home so the kids didn't dress in costume, but they had a great time checking out all of the other kids, staff and even a few parents who were dressed in theirs. Kids can even join in on the costume parade through the park. When we arrived, around 5PM, it was still light out. We wanted to see the pumpkins in their full glory so we decided to check out the rides first while it was still light. The girls had a blast on all of their old favorites including the Tilt a Whirl, flying elephants and caterpillar roller coaster. They also tried out a few new rides including the Tin Solider and loved them all! They also had fun collecting candy as they exited each ride. We used the back of the stroller to collect our loot, but a small trick-or-treat bag would be fun to bring too.

Once the sunset we decided to take a ride on the train. We all had a blast checking out the ghosts and goblins hiding in the woods as we rode the train, but for those who frighten easily you could easily miss them and just enjoy a relaxing train ride through the park. The train was running every half hour, and on a "load and go" schedule. Check to see what the schedule is the night you go so you don't miss it!

After the train ride it was sufficiently dark enough to head into Dino Land and check out all of the pumpkins! The girls had been through Dino Land and we're scared by the dinosaurs and fog in the dark, but if it is your first experience with them I would suggest taking a stroll through before dark as well to get the lay of the land, and see all of the dinosaurs in the daylight. We loved meeting the talking pumpkin head, and seeing the amazing variety of carved, and sculpted pumpkins!

The girls were a big fan of the display of Frozen inspired pumpkins, and I loved the witches! We all really enjoyed checking out all of the pumpkin and got some great ideas for when we carve our own this weekend.

After Dino Land we headed inside to check out the smaller rides, and cranberry ball pit. We hadn't spent much time there in the past and the girls had a great time playing in the pit, coloring and using the train stamps, and riding the rides. There is also an area for nursing moms on the second floor for those with little ones.

If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly adventure to get in the Halloween spirit, and make some memories take a ride down to Carver and check out Pumpkins Aglow! It is just $20 per person (under 2 are free), and it includes all of the rides and attractions once you are in the park. Pumpkins Aglow is open October 24th - 26th from 4PM - 9PM, and then it will be gone so don't miss out!
