The Family Work Day will be held at 10AM on September 20th. Families will help the farm with their daily chores which may include cleaning up gardens, harvesting vegetables, scrubbing buckets, collecting eggs, mucking stalls and more! Because this is a working farm the actual work may vary, but we can guarantee it will be fun, rewarding, and dirty! I'll be there with my oldest Macaroni Kid so come join us!
If your family would like to participate in this work day please e-mail weirriverfarm@ttor.org. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis!
In addition to the Family Work Day we are supporting Weir River 4H's annual food drive to benefit the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse! Boxes are out in a variety of locations across the area to collect your donations! Please pick up a few extra non-perishables the next time you are at the grocery stores and drop them off at one of the locations listed bellow during their regular businesses hours.
To make things a little more fun, and encourage more people to donate, feel free to post photos of your family dropping off your donations on social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) and use the hashtags #SSBoston and #MKDoSomethingGreat, Make sure you make your Facebook posts public so we can all see them!
