Everyone's favorite holiday television special is now live on stage in Boston Children's Theatre's (BCT) special production of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS.  Directed by Burgess Clark, BCT Executive Artistic Director, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS runs November 26 - December 18 at The Larcom Theatre, 13 Wallis Street, Beverly, MA; and December 21 - 23 at The Roberts Theatre, Calderwood Pavilion, 527 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

"I have always loved watching the television special and for many people the holidays don't officially begin until they sit together as a family to watch this wonderful piece of pop culture nostalgia," said BCT Executive Artistic Director Burgess Clark, who is also directing the production. "We are thrilled to be able to bring these endearing characters to life on stage and to celebrate the holidays in a fun, creative and family friendly way. This is absolutely a show for all generations, and we look forward to seeing our audiences- both young and old- experiencing live theater together."
 
Staying true to its television roots, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS features Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and all the Peanuts gang as they produce their own Christmas pageant and ultimately learn the true meaning of Christmas. Complete with the little Christmas fir tree, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is a present the whole family can enjoy!
 
Directed by Clark with musical direction by Chris Cho, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS features 17 talented young actors from 15 local communities. The cast includes Beverly student Emilia Tagliani as 'Frieda;' Boxford student Charlotte Wallace as 'Lucy;' Gloucester student Hattie Mae Rich as 'Peppermint Patty;' Malden student Francesca Seac as 'Ensemble Member;' Manchester resident Rory Shaw as ''Linus;' Medford students Carl Kleifgen as 'Charlie Brown' and Jenna McLaughlin as 'Sally;' Quincy student Alex Cox as 'Shermy;' Rockport student Alex Strzemilowski as 'Schroeder;' Rye, NH student Analise Marin as 'Twin 2;' South Boston student Ally Antonelli as 'Violet;' South Hamilton student Lily Wainwright as 'Ensemble Member;' Stoneham student Francesca Foti as 'Ensemble Member;' Wellesley students Alex Hudepohl as 'Marcie' and Keith Robinson as 'Snoopy;' Weymouth student Josiah Jennings as 'Pig Pen;' and Woburn student Harrison Sturgeon as 'Woodstock.'
 
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS by Charles M. Schulz is based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson, with stage adaptation by Eric Schaeffer by special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson. A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc.
 
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS runs November 26 - December 18 at The Larcom Theatre, 13 Wallis Street, Beverly, MA; and December 21 - 23 at The Roberts Theatre, Calderwood Pavilion, 527 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. Press performances are on Saturday, November 26 at 1 pm and Sunday, November 27 at 2 pm. Single tickets for the 2016 - 2017 season are $10 to $28 and BCT Season Memberships are also now on sale. Season Memberships are $50 for 8 tickets or $100 for 18 tickets and offer the option of buying special member priced tickets for $12 each with all ticket fees waived. Members also enjoy flexibility in choosing dates, changing dates, and access to the best seats at the theatre. The BCT 2016 - 2017 presenting sponsor is WGBH.
